Lush growth, buttercrunch bolted

Started taking pictures of the lush growth. Not sure how much was just time passing and how much was getting other things to eat from dad's favorite produce market, but for the first time I feel like I need to eat faster.

Decided to take pictures of all 30 plants. At times I want more, but at times just tracking and caring for these seems like plenty. (Parsely and chives replacing non sprouted tatsoi and early dieing monte carlo.) My amaranth has a bunch of red sprouts, but no true leaves. The strawberry has not sprouted yet.  (To replace arugula.) Now I need to start another thing after the fact. Let's try to be proactive: one of each breen, buttercruch, butterhead, and flashy trout. Move amaryth by lights.

I am thinking I need to get agressive with harvesting and pruning roots before the next refresh.

And here are the stars of the show:

thyme  - my first time from seed. I need to actually try it. (I have tons from a varigated variety outside too. pruned it from overhanging the sidewalk.)

The selected parsley is doing fine. (Bought a bunch at the market for cooking.)

red mustard - still spicy  so will definitely mix with other things. maybe as a cooked side.

Happy Breen - ready for another salad

mint hiding out. hoping I'll forget about it.

pepper? needs trimming

rouge d'hiver- nibbles

tomato - leaves look a bit droopy. has a couple little green fruits
tatsoi - could nibble or let grow, while  eating breen

red sail
the other pepper also needs trimming
the arugula bolting is old news. dont have anything big enough to replace it. If I am going to try say for amarath seeds, I need to be prepared for stuff on the floor.
cilantro still seems to want more water.

butterhead keeps getting noshed on
kale is just not that fast
another butterhead
another kale

swiss chard is still smaller than the store, but for gardyn, it has grown

chives. not big enough to eat yet. real happy with seeds from dead flower outside.
dill, not dense but sprawling
butter crunch - bolted, a bit bitter, lunch saladL both the whole leaves up top and the partials left from previous harvests. h202 on remaining rockwool to reuse. Also cleaned out the cube andypod with it and a toothbrush to get in the corners.

green mustard - a star grower in early days. still growing.

red sails - more to harvest later
parsley thinnings
thai basil

  1. Kelby said prune peppers. Found buds after doing so. See facebook.
