arugula has flower buds and getting ready to bolt
Both of my arugula plants have buds . Should I try trimming them? Or just eat the leaves *now*? eat flowers? let go to seed? (definitely not fond enough for seeds) I had planned on the spicy red mustard with my leftover roast lamb and Japanese sweet potato. ( the spruce on arugula ) My speadsheet says I should have replanted Christmas for continuous harvest and the end of the month for replacing in the hole. I have been a bit disappointed in these for quantity and taste. The variety I had in ca was more delicate. Tended to have more than 2 plants also. The red mustard also has a fairly quick cycle. (shift command 4?) Glad I entered stock by arrived date rather than ordered. Strawberry is the obvious first choice. Hmm. Went with red Amaranth .
